
Looking for ways to celebrate the 4th of July in Bucks County? Here’s a list of Independence Day events happening on July 4 or leading up to the big day.
July 4th Fest at Sesame Place
When: June 28 – July 4
Where: 100 Sesame Road, Langhorne
Get your picture taken with Elmo dressed in his patriotic best! And come see fireworks at 9 p.m. on July 4! (You can also spot the fireworks from nearby parking lots.)
Summer unWINEd at Shady Brook Farm
When: June 30 and July 1
Where: 931 Stony Hill Road
This weekend, you have TWO chances to celebrate at Shady Brook Farm! They’ll have their popular Summer unWINEd Concerts both Friday night and Saturday with fireworks on Saturday night! In addition to live music, food and drinks, there are so many activities for kids: pedal go-karts, obstacle course, bounce pillows, farm animals, lawn games, sports zone, playground, giant slide and more. Buy your tickets online to save!
If you’re looking to save money, enjoy music on the patio Friday night from 6:30 to 9:30. Admission is free. And there are food and drink options, plus Uncle Dave’s Ice Cream. There’s also the smaller playground right by the stage.
You can also pick blueberries all weekend long from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Hamilton Township Annual Independence Day Concert and Fireworks:
When: June 30 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: Veterans Park – Kurlander Field, 2206 Kuser Road, Hamilton Township
Music, food and dun. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.
Lawrence Township July 4th Fireworks and Celebration
When: June 30 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: Rider University, 2083 Lawrenceville Road, Lawrenceville
Food trucks, live music and more! Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.
Washington Crossing Historic Park’s Colonial Field Day
When: July 1 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.Where: 1112 River Road, Washington Crossing
Round up your family or friends for a spirited colonial competition. Try your hand at playing some popular games from the 18th century, including cup and ball, Jacob’s Ladder, hoop and stick, and more! The winning family will receive a family membership to the Friends of Washington Crossing Park. Participants will also receive a hands-on craft kit, including the opportunity to make your own toy or game.
Space is very limited for this event. 1.5hr sessions will begin at 10:00 and 1:00.
School’s Out Weekend at Elmwood Park Zoo
When: July 1 and July 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: 1661 Harding Boulevard, Norristown
Celebrate summer with live music, special keeper chats, a water slide and discounts for students and children ($10 admission, $2 off carousel rides, $2 giraffe feedings, and $2 off face painting.)
Winery Weekend Music Series at Terhune Orchards
When: July 1 – July 2
Where: 330 Cold Soil Road
Terhune has events all weekend long! There will be live music, wine and food. Plus, there are animals and play areas for the kids.
New Hope/Lambertville Fireworks
When: July 1 at 9 p.m.
Where: New Hope-Lambertville (Delaware River)
Fireworks make their summer return to New Hope and Lambertville! Find a spot to watch along the river.
Rebels and Redcoats Classic Car Show at Washington Crossing
When: July 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: 1112 River Road, Washington Crossing
This unique car show features American, French, British and German cars, representing the four countries involved in the Revolutionary War. No fee to attend as a spectator.
Southampton Days
When: July 3 – July 8
Where: 1351 2nd Street Pike, Southampton
Southampton Days includes 6 days fair fun! On the 4th itself, there will be a parade during the day, and then the fair starts at 6 p.m. There will be rides, activities, games, food, music and fireworks at 9:30. The fair continues daily the rest of the week. Get more info HERE.
16th Annual Free Community Patriotic Concert at St. Bede
When: Monday, July 3 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: Parish grounds, 1071 Holland Road (concert will move inside if it’s raining.)
The Verdi Concert Band will perform patriotic melodies, music from Broadway shows, a salute to the Armed Forces, and more. The Knights of Columbus will also have sausage and peppers, hot dogs, hamburgers, soft pretzels, and more for sale.
Quakertown Community Day
When: July 4 from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Where: 600 W. Mill Street, Quakertown
A car show, arts and crafts vendors, live music, dancers, hot air balloons, fireworks, and more! The day kicks off with a pancake breakfast served up by Quakertown Borough Council and Staff. Check out the Facebook page as they post more details.
Skippack Village 4th of July Parade
When: July 4 at 11 a.m.
Where: 4044 Skippack Pike, Skippack Village
Parade starts at 11 a.m. There’s a BBQ at Parc Bistro starting at 3 p.m. and then fireworks at Palmer Park at dusk.
Red, White & Blue BBQ Bash at Peddler’s Village
When: July 4 from noon to 5 p.m.
Where: 2400 Street Road, Lahaska
Peddler’s Village will have live music and activities, plus traditional BBQ foods. You can also check out the sand sculptures. See the full schedule HERE.
Old-Fashioned Fourth of July at Fonthill Castle
When: July 4 from noon to 4 p.m.
Where: East Court Street & Route 313, Doylestown
A favorite annual event with a decorated bike parade, wheelbarrow and sack races, tug of war, live music and food vendors. Tickets are $5 for adults, $1 for children 6-17. Kids 5 and under are free. You can buy tickets online or at the gate. Cash only in person.
Washington Crossing Historic Park’s Living History Day
When: July 4 from noon to 4 p.m.
Where: 1112 River Road, Washington Crossing
Watch living historians demonstrate their crafts and see a military encampment. There will also be readings of the Declaration of Independence throughout the day.
Tickets are $8 for adults age 12 and over; $4 for children ages 5-11; and free for those under 5, active duty military, and members of the Friends of Washington Crossing Park. Families with up to two adults and two children living in the same household can purchase a single Family ticket for $20.
Pre-registration is recommended. Admission to Bowman’s Hill Tower is included in your ticket to Living History Day.
Lower Southampton Independence Day Parade
When: July 4 at 1 p.m. (rain date is July 8)
Where: Bustleton Pike, Feasterville
Parade starts on Bustleton Pike in Feasterville and ends at the Lower Southampton School at School Lane.
Independence Day Family Fun at Parx Racing
When: July 4 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: 3001 Street Road, Bensalem
Celebrate the 4th of July trackside in the family-friendly Picnic Grove! There will be pony rides, moon bounces, face painters, music by DJ Tonka, and more. Plus, food & beverage specials.
Ambler Kiwanis Carnival and Fireworks
When: July 4 through July 8
Where: 521 Houston Road, Ambler
Enjoy five nights of carnival fun! Fireworks will be Friday, July 7 at 9 p.m.
