Sure, the night of October 31 is the main event, but if you’re like my family, you like to get your trick or treat on well before Halloween night. Get more wear out of those Halloween costumes, have fun, and stock your sugar stash for months at one (or more!) of these trick or treat events in Bucks County and nearby. I’ll keep adding to this list as I see more events posted, so you might want to save this post and check back often!
The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular At Sesame Place
When: Select dates now through November 3
Where: Sesame Place, 100 Sesame Road, Langhorne
Trick or Treat path back by Splashy Shores, do a Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt, see the Halloween shows and parade, and visit with characters in Halloween costumes.
Franklin Fright at the Franklin Institute
When: Every Saturday and Sunday in October from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Where: Franklin Institute, Philadelphia
Trick-or-treat your way through the museum, and experience classic live science shows performed alongside special guest Gourd’n the Giant Pumpkin Robot in an immersive Halloween-inspired environment.
Boo at the Zoo: Elmwood Park Zoo
When: Saturdays and Sundays from Oct. 5 – Oct. 27 from 10:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: 1661 Harding Blvd., Norristown
Come in costume and bring your trick or treat bag. There will be activity and treat stations, live entertainment and music. Boo at the Zoo is included in zoo admission and free for Yearly Members.
The zoo also offers Trick or Treat nights October 24, 25, 26, and 27 from 5:30 to 8:30. Tickets include one free carousel ride and animal meet & greets.
YMCA Boo Bash
When: Friday, October 18 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Where: Fairless Hills, Doylestown and Quakertown locations
Free community event with trick or treating, games, and more!
Boo at the Zoo: Philadelphia Zoo
When: Saturdays and Sundays from October 12 though October 27 from 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Where: 3400 Girard Avenue, Philadelphia
Visit the animals while you trick or treat around the zoo. There will also be seasonal decor, festive fall offerings, children’s activities and more.
North Wales Action Karate Trunk or Treat
When: Saturday, October 12 from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: 122 N. Main Street, North Wales
Open to the public, but if you pre-register, you can receive an Action Karate goodie bag with shark tattoo and shark candy.
Trunk Or Treat (plus Open House) at The Learning Experience
When: Saturday, October 12 from 10:30 a.m. to noon (Open House is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
Where: 8829 New Falls Road, Levittown
Come in costume for trunk or treat! And take a tour of the facility if you’re in need of childcare. There will also be games, raffle baskets, snacks, and a visit from Bubbles, the mascot.
Burns Auto Group Trunk or Treat
When: Thursday, October 17 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: 194 Lincoln Highway, Fairless Hills
Free candy! Prizes given for best costume and best decorated car.
Trunk or Treat at Stars & Stripes Harley-Davidson
When: Saturday, October 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Boo at Bolton: Food Truck Fest & Trick or Treat
When: Saturday, October 19 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Historic Bolton Mansion, 85 Holly Drive, Levittown
Trick or treat from noon to 2 p.m. (or while supplies last). There will also be vendors, food trucks, moon bounces, face painting, bubble foam pit, rides and more. There will also be kid-friendly ghost tours of the mansion.
Trunk or Treat hosted by Let’s Learn Tutoring
When: Saturday, October 19 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Where: 223 N. Sycamore Street, Newtown
Immersive trunk or treat with each trunk featuring a unique game with NON-candy prizes! This is a FREE ticketed event. Sign up HERE. Each sign-up will receive a raffle ticket that will be exchanged for an opportunity to spin your own cotton candy.
Trunk or Treat at Hatboro Community Church
When: Sunday, October 20 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. (raindate is October 27)
Where: 730 Preston Lane, Hatboro
Free and open to the public.
Warwick Community Halloween Happening
When: Thursday, October 24 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Where: Warwick Community Park
Trunk or treat, scarecrows, and the movie Hocus Pocus will be shown on the soccer field behind the pavilion starting at 6:30.
Lawrence Township’s LTPD, Recreation and LTPS present Trunk or Treat
When: Thursday, October 24 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: Lawrence High School, 2525 Princeton Pike, Lawrenceville

Trunk or Treat at Chick-fil-A Newtown
When: Friday, October 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Where: 4 West Road, Newtown
Chick-Fil-A Newtown is hosting their first ever trunk or treat!
Trick or Treat at The Shops at Valley Square
When: Saturday, October 26 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: 1501 Main Street, Warrington
Come out for food trucks, bounce houses, face painting, music, Go with YoYo!, and trick or treating at participating stores.
Doylestown Spooktacular Costume Contest and Parade
When: Saturday, October 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: 55 E. Court Street, Doylestown
Meet at the lawn of the Bucks County Admin Building to parade down Pine Street onto E. State Street. After the costume contest, there will be trick or treating at stores and restaurants throughout town. (They’ll have orange and black balloons outside.)
BOO-tastic Halloween Party at Kidology Inc. Playspace
When: Saturday, October 26 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: 928 Jaymor Road, Southampton
Come out to enjoy this adorable playspace along with a costume parade, trick or treating, snacks and juice, and pumpkin decorating. Tickets are $31.60 per child/$26.50 for siblings and can be purchased HERE.

HatOber Fest: Hatboro’s Annual Halloween Stroll
When: Saturday, October 26 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: York Road from Summit Avenue to Horsham Road
Take a stroll while trick or treating at participating stores. (There will be a sign in the store’s window.)
Trunk or Treat at Core Creek Community Church
When: Saturday, October 26 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: 1110 Langhorne-Newtown Road, Langhorne
This is a completely free event with trick or treating, bounce houses, face painting and balloon making. Plus, hot dogs, cotton candy and popcorn!
Amerikick Trunk or Treat

Free event open to the public. This event is being capped at 150 families, so be sure to preregister.
Middletown Athletic Association Trunk or Treat
When: Saturday, October 26 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

All are welcome! All kids will also receive a free balloon art creation.
7th Annual Trunk or Treat at Cannstatter V.V.
When: Saturday, October 26 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Mall-O-Ween at King of Prussia Mall

This Trunk Or Treat event is more than just candy – come and check out all the different trunks, collect a variety of candy and goodies!
There will be a costume contest, best trunk decor contest, inflatables and other fun to show off your costume and take fun photos, and pumpkin decorating!

Halloween Party at We Rock the Spectrum NE Philly
When: Sunday, October 27 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: 12357 Academy Road, Philadelphia
Register by calling 215-904-6280 for one of two sessions. Come in costume for playtime, crafts, music and trick or treating with local vendors and businesses. $30 per child and $25 per sibling.
Thompson Church Fall Festival
