I love making truffles, and these cute little treats made with Golden Oreos and shaped to look like eggs are just perfect for Easter. You only need 4 ingredients to make them and it’s a no-bake recipe – so easy! I used pastel-colored nonpareils to decorate them, but you could use other colors or shapes if you prefer. And if you’d rather skip the sprinkles, you could always decorate your eggs with different colored melted wafers instead. Whatever you decide, these are sure to be cute, easy and delicious for a mini Easter dessert.

Ingredients:
- 1 package Golden Oreos
- 1 8 oz. brick cream cheese, softened
- 1 lb. vanilla flavored melting wafers
- Sprinkles
Instructions:
Use a food processor (or a Ziploc bag and rolling pin) to crush the Oreo cookies.
Combine the cookie crumbs with cream cheese and mix until well blended.
Place the cookie mixture in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes so it’s easier to work with.
Once the cookie mixture is chilled, scoop it by the heaping Tablespoon or use a small cookie scoop like THIS one to roll into small egg shapes. Place the eggs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper of a silicone mat. (Affiliate links.)
Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator to chill again.
Once the eggs are chilled, melt the vanilla-flavored melting wafers according to the directions until melted and smoothed.
Dip the eggs in the melted candy coating. I like to use a spoon to roll the egg around in the melted coating. Then I shift the egg from the spoon onto a fork and gently shake the fork over the bowl so that the excess drips back into the bowl. Then place the covered egg back onto the baking sheet.
Before the candy coating has a chance to harden, add some colorful sprinkles. You can cover the enter egg, or make designs like stripes or only cover half the egg. Get creative with it. I find that using very small spoons helps have more control with the sprinkles.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
