My kids love a good pumpkin patch, corn maze, hayride or trunk or treat event. But if you’re looking for additional ways to celebrate Halloween in the Bucks County, Montgomery County and Philadelphia area, there are other options as well! Check out this list to add to the Halloween fun this October.
Tip: Many of these are great ideas to keep in mind when it’s rainy and the weather doesn’t cooperate for outdoor Halloween events.
The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular At Sesame Place
When: Now through Nov. 1
Where: Sesame Place, 100 Sesame Road, Langhorne

Trick or treat, enjoy Halloween-themed shows, and go on a scarecrow scavenger hunt. The characters are dressed in costume, and there’s a special parade, too.
Fintastic Pumpkin Glow at Adventure Aquarium
When: Now through November 1
Where: 1 Riverside Drive, Camden

Visit the aquarium to see glowing gourds in the shapes of aquatic animals along with underwater pumpkin carvers. If you haven’t yet, this is a great time to get those FREE Pre-K passes for kids ages 2-5. You must register online and them bring the child with their birth certificate to the window outside the aquarium to redeem and activate their FREE year membership. October 25 is the last day.
Tricks and Treats at Dorney Park
When: Now through November, Saturdays and Sundays
Where: 4000 Dorney Park Road, Allentown
Tricks and Treats is a family-friendly Halloween event on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. until November 1. There will be a Halloween costume contest, seasonal treats, crafts, trick or treat maze and candy trail, Halloween themed shows and more.
Note: Dorney’s Halloween Haunt events are select nights during October and are recommended for ages 13 and up.
Peddler’s Village
When: Now through October 26
Where: Routes 202 and 263, Lahaska

Peddler’s Village offers several ways to celebrate Halloween and fall. Visit any day through October 26 to see the scarecrows throughout the Village. October 10 is OctoberFeast where you can enjoy food truck’s, live music, kid activities, etc. (This event is free.) And on October 30, kids can trick or treat at participating shops or the Trunk or Treat Trail behind the Visitor & Event Center.
Screamin’ Green Hauntoween at Crayola Experience
When: Now through November 1 daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: 30 Centre Square, Easton
Crayola Experience is celebrating the season with Halloween-themed crafts, a spooky scavenger hunt, character photo ops and more. On Saturdays and Sundays, you can also go trick or treating at stations throughout the building.
Morris ArBOOretum
When: Now through October 31, daily
Where: 100 E. Northwestern Avenue, Philadelphia
During the month of October, you can take a walk around Morris Arboretum & Gardens and enjoy more than 30 scarecrows along the Scarecrow Walk. This year’s theme is “The 70s” – featuring scarecrows inspired by the 1770s, 1970s, or any decade ending in 70! Vote for your favorite if you visit before October 18. On October 21, there’s a free storytime for children 3-6 in the Outdoor Classroom from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wear a costume and make your own scarecrow craft.
Brick or Treat at Legoland Discovery Center
When: Now through October 31
Where: Plymouth Meeting Mall

During the month of October, Legoland Discovery Center will celebrate Halloween with special themed decor and activities. Make something ghost-inspired with glow-in-the-dark bricks. See the 4D movie – The Great Monster Chase. Make a Halloween build in Creative Workshop. There will also be trick or treating on the weekends.
Storybook Land
When: September 28 – October 29, Open Friday – Sunday, plus Columbus Day (October 12 from 11 to 5)
Where: 6415 Black Horse Pike, Egg Harbor
Fall is a great time to visit Storybook Land with a maze, hayride, and pumpkin patch in addition to the usual rides and storybook attractions. Storybook Land is open Saturdays and Sundays in September from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and then adds in Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in October. October 17, 18, 24 and 25 are special ticketed events with trick or treating throughout the park.
Diggerland’s Diggerfest
When: Weekends now through November 15
Where: 100 Pinedge Drive, West Berlin
Diggerland’s fall festival features carnival rides, hay rides, pumpkin decorating, a petting zoo, live entertainment, a fun maze, bon fires, fall treats and more. Through November 1, costumes are encouraged! There’s trick or treating from open until 12:30 p.m. and there’s a costume parade at 1 p.m.
New Hope Railroad
When: Select weekend trains from October 17 through October 31
Where: 32 West Bridge Street, New Hope

New Hope Railroad offers a variety of fall and Halloween themed excursions. Their most kid-oriented ride is the Trick or Treat Train. It’s a 60-minute ride that goes to Lahaska and back. Kids are encouraged to come in costume and listen to a live reading of Spookley the Square Pumpkin. There will also be festive songs performed by the railroad’s musicians. Kids will receive trick or treat bags and will receive assorted treats on board the train and also while walking around the train station platform after arriving back in New Hope.
Pumpkin Trains from Black River Western Railroad
When: Saturday and Sunday starting September 30 – October 29 at 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Where: 80 Stangl Road, Flemington

Catch the train at Flemington Station for a ride to Everitt Farms at Pumpkin Junction! Enjoy the activities at Pumpkin Junction (corn maze, petting zoo, pumpkin patch, games, wagon rides, etc) for about an hour before boarding your return train to Flemington. We did this event in 2022 and 2023, and it was really cute and very affordable. Tickets are $22.99 for ages 12 and up, $16.99 for children 3-11. Children under 3 are free.
Bucks County Libraries

I spotted a Halloween Storytime and Parade at the Warminster library on October 29 at 10:30, Halloween storytime at the Southampton library on October 30 at 10:30, Costume Party at the Langhorne library on October 30 at 11, Halloween Storytime at the Quakertown library on October 31 at 10 and crafts at 2, and pumpkin painting at the Warminster library on October 31 at 10:30.
Boo at the Zoo: Elmwood Park Zoo
When: Saturdays and Sundays from Oct. 3 – Nov. 1 from 10:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Where: 1661 Harding Blvd., Norristown
Come in costume and bring your trick or treat bag. There will be activity and treat stations, live entertainment and music. Boo at the Zoo is included in zoo admission and free for Yearly Members.
The zoo also offers Trick or Treat Night October 30 from 5:30 to 8:30. Each child ticket includes two free adult tickets.
The Great Pumpkin at Music Mountain Theatre
When: Saturdays from October 10 through October 24 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Where: 1483 Rt 179, Lambertville
An interactive show full of silly skits and spooky songs. Come in costume for a special bag and a chance to join the stage costume parade.
YMCA Boo Bash
When: Friday, October 16 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Where: Fairless Hills, Doylestown and Quakertown locations

Boo at the Zoo: Philadelphia Zoo
When: Saturdays and Sundays from October 3 though November 1 from 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Where: 3400 Girard Avenue, Philadelphia
Visit the animals while you trick or treat around the zoo. There will also be seasonal decor, festive fall offerings, children’s activities and more. Keep an eye out for more than 24 giant Home Depot skeletons invading the zoo! And get an amazing view of fall foliage from the 10-story Pherris Wheel!
Funzilla Halloween Glow Party
When: Saturday, October 24 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Where: 500 Lincoln Highway, Fairless Hills
Glow Party includes goody bag, costume contest, raffles, glitter tattoos and special costumed guests! (Plus you get to play at Funzilla.) Tickets at $30 for children and $10 for adults. Reservation required.
Tricks and Treats at Pennsbury Manor
When: Sunday, October 25 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Where: 400 Pennsbury Memorial Road, Morrisville

Kids can trick or treat around the site. Help press cider, enjoy fall crafts, games, and more. This is a free event.
Playpad Bucks Halloween Party
When: Tuesday, October 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Where: 860 Town Center Drive, Langhorne
Decorate a trick or treat bag, trick or treat around Playpad, and participate in a costume parade! There will be pizza, snacks, dessert and drinks. Plus, meet Jack Skellington from 6:15 to 6:45. Tickets are $45 per child and $5 for adults.
Trick or Treat at Princeton Playspace
When: Wednesday, October 28 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Where: 745 Alexander Road, Princeton
Annual Halloween Party included in open play – craft, Halloween parade and trick or treating around the pretend play town! Register in advance.
